Annual Walk for the Homeless

Walk for the Homeless this Sunday

Time: 8:30-10:15 a.m.

Dear Homeless Coalition folks,

This Sunday morning (8:30a.m., Meyer Center, 1226 Washington), we will have our annual "Walk for the Homeless" to remember those on our streets and shelters and the suffering of others in our nation and world. Your presence is appreciated.

We will collect funds for 1) local agencies who work directly with the homeless, 2) the Hurricane Katrina Victims, and 3) the global organizations which work with the "extreme poor."

The "information/prayer walk" has six stops and ends at Church Under the Bridge about 10:15. The church is celebrating its 13th Anniversary with a special service and meal. You are welcome to stay and hear Pastor Chris Simmons of South Dallas who works with the homeless and marginalized there. However, you are free to catch a shuttle back to your car before or after the service.
